Joel Widman

Joel Widman is the founder and lead project manager of Anderson The Fish, a business development agency dedicated to connecting entrepreneurs with the right people and solutions. He started the company in 2014 out of a simple but powerful frustration: “Why is it so hard to find someone who can just do what I need?” Since then, Joel has built a network of professionals who help small businesses thrive through strategic marketing, clear communication, and dependable execution.

Joel’s role is part connector, part quarterback—he initiates conversations, facilitates timelines, and ensures every client gets a high-quality, human experience. With a deep respect for both creative talent and business owners, Joel works hard to make sure no one feels lost in the process.

He’s known for being organized, transparent, and grounded in reality—clients trust him because he gets things done and never overpromises.

Joel lives in Nashville, TN, with his wife, Liz, their two daughters, Sage and Jude, and son, Noah. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends and dreaming up new ways to simplify the lives of entrepreneurs.
